Public notice caution regarding impersonation of Bank of America Europe DAC, Zweigniederlassung Frankfurt am Main
We draw your attention to the Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht’s (BaFin) public notice dated February 6, 2026, whereby the BaFin notified the public that certain unknown persons are impersonating the brand, name, logo and falsely holding themselves out to be working for or being associated with the Frankfurt branch of Bank of America Europe DAC or any other similar sounding name and / or its employees by publishing fraudulent messages over instant messaging services. Recently we have come across further instances of such impersonation and hence are issuing this supplementary notice. We reiterate that we do not publish any messages, nor do we offer such products. Bank of America Europe DAC or any of its employees are not associated in any manner with such impersonators or the products / schemes offered by them. Please exercise utmost caution while dealing with persons claiming to be employees/officials of Bank of America Europe DAC or when such services are solicited to you in the name of Bank of America Europe DAC or its branches. Bank of America Europe DAC is a regulated bank and does not deal with individual investors as a general practice. We will not be responsible in any manner whatsoever, for any claims or losses caused in this regard.
